Lägdaleden

The arboretum in Baggböle is located on steep slopes where access with e.g. strollers or wheelchairs can be difficult or sometimes impossible. We have therefore started construction of the adaptive hiking trail; Lägdaleden, which is a 900 m long functionally adapted trail between Baggböle Manor and our European part.

Lägdaleden runs along the edge of the field at the upper side of the arboretum and it is possible to drive and park your car at both ends of the trail. The path is free of major elevation differences and paved with compacted macadam. The many viewpoints on the trail offer a good view of the arboretum below. We are also trying, through new planting and plenty of information signs, to show as many exciting things as possible directly adjacent to the path.

Plans are also in progress for further improvements with bridges, detours further into the arboretum, barbecue areas that can be handled from a wheelchair. If we find positive sponsors, the Lägdaleden will therefore be expanded in the coming years.
