Furthest downstream in our East Asian part of the arboretum we have a bunch of asian conifers growing. Here you can find species like korean arborvitae, (Thuja koraiensis), hiba, (Thujopsis dolabrata) and japanese hemlock, (Tsuga diversifolia). The firs (Abies) include korean fir, (Abies koreana) and veitch fir, (Abies veitchii), while the spruces (Picea) consists of yezo spruce, (P. jezoensis), korean spruce, (P. koraiensis) och sakhalin spruce, (P. glehnii). The most distinctive broad-leaved trees in this part of the arboretum is probably the siberian crab apples (Malus baccata) in the spring, with their white flowers. In the autumn the japanese rowans (Sorbus commixta), stands out with their mixed coloured leaves.
